Every year, millions of people choose careers based on expectations, salaries, or what seems like the "safe" option. Yet many eventually realize they're working in roles that don't align with who they truly are.
The problem isn't a lack of intelligence or ambition—it's a lack of self-understanding.
Traditional personality tests have helped many people, but they often produce static reports based on a fixed set of questions. Real people are far more complex. Our strengths evolve with experience, and understanding them requires more than a multiple-choice quiz.
Recent advances in artificial intelligence open the door to a different approach. Instead of generating a one-time report, AI can have conversations, ask follow-up questions, recognize patterns, and provide personalized insights that adapt over time.
This idea is what inspired me to start building PotenAI.
The goal isn't to replace human judgment or career coaches. The goal is to give people another tool—one that helps them better understand their strengths, hidden talents, career fit, and long-term potential.
We're currently building the first version, and there's still a long journey ahead. But I genuinely believe AI can make self-discovery more accessible and more personal than ever before.
I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
Do you think AI can help people understand themselves better than traditional assessments?
